How Can A Small Business Compete With a National Chains Ad Budget?

You can if you don’t try and compete using the same old mass marketing advertising that they are no doubt still using.
What you need to do is use social media marketing to create a fan base that will respond to your call to action.
The vast majority of Americans are actively using social media.
According to Nielsen, nearly 80% of all active U.S. Internet users regularly visit social media sites. Your prospective customers and potential “fans” are there. Facebook has become the most visited website in the world.
Not only can social media help your business grow brand awareness, but social media marketing also allowed marketers to engage in dialogue to build loyalty and increase sales.
As important as social media marketing is to your business today, it is important to stay on top of the many changes, just in the past year we have seen changes with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube plus there is Google + now and Pinterest.

There are an increasing number of new strategies and ways  to market your business using social media marketing. If time does not allow you to personal keep up with all the changes and still run your business ( don’t use that as an excuse ), there are resources on the right column to help.
Bottom line is the vast majority of your customers and prospective customers are actively using social media. The question is has your business acted on that fact?
