And the Survey Says………………..

“The research shows that nearly 60% of marketers have adopted inbound marketing strategies and more than 80% of those executing inbound marketing have integrated itsocial gathering into broader company goals. People are also investing more in inbound, as budgets for this strategy have grown nearly 50% in each of the past three years.” according to a recent “State of the Inbound Marketing Survey” from HubSpot

Although 60% of marketers surveyed say they have adopted inbound strategies, nearly 20% are unsure of what constitutes inbound marketing, meaning obviously more education requirements remain.

While Inbound marketing is a relatively new industry, it has seen major growth with almost half of the marketers surveyed, saying they increased their inbound budgets for 2013 to the point of exceeding what they are spending on outbound activities.

Blogging and social media, which require more time, but less budget, are a primary focus of those inbound marketing activities of those surveyed.

For many the primary challenge using inbound marketing has been they say they couldn’t or didn’t calculate the ROI on their inbound marketing efforts citing the inability to find tools for gauging ROI.

Having spent most of my adult life engaged in sales and marketing as well as a decade of preparing income tax returns for small businesses, individuals and real estate investors. Running your own business is not easy, you must utilize all the tools available to aid in your business development, I believe your personal development is equally important. I have for many years had knowledge and interest in small and medium sized businesses as it relates to allowable deductions, tax deferred exchanges and other tax treatments, I have also, for many years invested in books, tapes/cds for inspiration and motivation, so it seemed a natural fit for me to become involved in aiding in people in business development as well as their personal development.
