No leader sets out to be closed minded, but you should consider reasons why you should make every effort to become a Big-thinker.
As a leader there are many things you must do for your people. As a leader you must have the vision that allows you to size up situations, seeing the big picture, being able to take into account many possible variables and discern the possibilities as well as potential problems.
A big-thinker leader can paint a picture for their team of the vision of the goal, and help them accomplish the goal. Big picture thinking allows you to enjoy more success. People who constantly are looking at the whole picture have the best chance of success in any endeavor.
We all know success requires being focused, by putting the daily activities in context of the end goal by seeing the big picture though big thinking you will be successful in staying on target.
Big-picture thinking also helps you to think “outside the box” and chart uncharted territory. The world is built by people who conceived it in their mind before anyone else did. The only way to move into uncharted territory is to think outside the box looking beyond the immediate and see the big-picture.
Andrew Carnegie said.” The man who acquires the ability to take full possession of his mind may take possession of anything else which he is justly entitled.”
If you desire to seize new opportunities, reach new horizons, then you need to add big-thinking to your abilities, then keep learning, keep growing and keep looking at the big-picture!
