Why Won’t You Accept Having Success?

If you’ve done all the right things, got your degree, working hard, investing in the 401k plan etc and you are not having the success you know you should have. Don’t blame gold starthe economy or the government or your parents or anybody or anything else you can think of to blame for your lack of success. The problem is in your mind.

The conscious, intellectual level of your mind knows you have done everything to be successful, but the subconscious, preconditioned level of your mind has been preconditioned, likely since your childhood with “money doesn’t grow on trees”, “a penny saved is a penny earned”, “money is the root of all evil” ( which is NOT anywhere in the Bible, by the way, you’ve been lied too).

Many of us have grandparents that lived during the great depression, which is an era of American history that rooted an entire generation in a scarcity mindset. These people passed onto their children these ideas about money who passed them down to their children.

You need to understand the beliefs that you hold and work to change those beliefs you have in your subconscious mind and you also have the opportunity to teach your children to have more productive beliefs about money and success as well.

For example you can begin to reprogram your subconscious mind by:

Change “money is scarce” to “money is abundant”.

Change “money is evil, dirty or bad” to “money is good” much good can be done with money.

Change “money only comes every two weeks or weekly(whenever payday is)” to “money comes from a range of sources” which creates an opportunistic view of money.

Consider that the words you choose, not only reflects, but affects, your thinking. Example: the word if is conditional, the word when is definitive. From now on, your dreams and goals are when not if. Don’t let if pass your lips in relation to your dreams and goals. You see there is no doubt, its only a matter of when you will see success.

To have the success, you deserve, you must reset your mind and psychology to reinforce what you want and begin to restart your beliefs and reverse the “scarcity mindset”  financial conditioning.

Working From Home, Not as Easy as it Sounds

Working from home is not as simple as it sounds, but it’s not difficult either, if you want to work from home you are going to have to establish some guidelines in order to be speed hump signproductive. I have been working from home for nearly 20 years and you can too.

One thing that makes working from home less difficult is technologies that we have today. With smart phones, IPads and WIFI readily available, business like network marketing can operate from virtually any city large or small.

Whether you are going to work from home in network marketing, direct sales, real estate, insurance or are starting up some other type of business from your home, it is important to establish a work environment and a routine. Plus by doing this you will be demonstrating to others – neighbors, friends and family (and the IRS), that you really do have a business and not just a hobby.

Ideally your office in your home will be a separate room (used regularly and exclusively for business). You should have a daily routine when you are working from home, develop a business like attitude a schedule when are at work. Shut the door to your office, you are at work.

I have a door on my office in my home, and that is what I do. I also have an account with a mailbox place ( the UPS Store) where I have all my mail and packages delivered so the UPS guy and mailman never disturb me when I am at work. If a salesperson comes to the front door of my house during  my scheduled work hours, I don’t answer the door, after all I am at work.

You must have a system in place to efficiently build your business. You can get your very own training, and business building tips for just pennies a day to promote your business and take it to the next level.

Set Up A Blog For Local SEO & Social Media

Use WordPress. It already has a lot of search engine optimization basics baked-in. No other platform is as flexible with all the plug-ins, in my opinion. Host your WordPress Blog at GoDaddy.com. GoDaddy hosts all my wordpress blogs, and the setup was seamless.

  • Integrate your blog as part of your website. It could be in a dedicated subdirectory or it could be set as a subdomain.
  • Use catchy blog post titles. Put yourself in the shoes of a person who is casually surfing the Internet. Will your blog headline stand out among the hundreds of others.?
  • Make your RSS feed obvious, above the fold, and preferably use the orange RSS icon.
  • Use images in your posts. Images capture and hold the attention of your reader.
  • Structure your blog posts for easy scanning. Use header tags, lists, etc. Avoid long sentences and long paragraphs. Making sure you have plenty of white space makes for an easier read.
  • Keep your posts short and concise.  250-500 words is a good number. People only have so much time.
  • Use social media at a minimum,  Twitter and Facebook or LinkedIN depending on your industry. You’ve GOT to be out there.
  • Use Hootsuite to pipe your latest posts into Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google + and other social networks. In addition to it’s Free version HootSuite also offers a Pro version to help you manage multiple social networks from one dashboard (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+). I have been using HootSuite for over 2 years to manage my multiple Twitter accounts, Facebook Business (Fan) pages as well as LinkedIn, Google + and my personal Facebook timeline all in one place with one login. However, Twitter should not replace RSS.
  • Put relevant keywords into your blog’s title. Use All-In-One SEO to have more control over the titles across your blog.
  • Post frequently. Once a day is fantastic, I usually try to post every 3 days. However, once a week might be a bare minimum.
  • Be consistent. This should be number 1. The reader will know when you are putting up something new and will give them a chance to make you a reading habit. Don’t make them work and don’t wear them out.
  • Use Analytics. I personally use Google Analytics

Why go though all the effort? Because according to Mindjumpers “ Social media sites and blogs reach 80% of all U.S. internet users”. and “Social networks and blogs account for 23% of all time spent online — twice as much as gaming” also according to Mindjumpers. According to Social Media B2B “B2B companies with blogs generate 67% more leads per month on average than non-blogging firms”.

Keep in mind, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Blogging takes time. SEO results from blogging takes time. If your expecting to see immediate results from blogging you’re in for a rude awakening. Keep in mind, with online content marketing you are building a complex and long-standing infrastructure that, will grow with time and effort. As important as quality relevant content is also consistency in posting new quality relevant content.

When properly implemented, blogging, can be a game changer for your business. However, you can’t simply throw caution to the wind and hope everything plays out the way you’re wishing. Instead, you must devise a blogging strategy that uses the best resources of what today’s technology has to offer.
