I Don’t Know What to Blog About.

Some say you should blog everyday, some say blog every other day a some insist you blog twice a week minimum. I don’t know what to blog about is a common response to online marketingthat statement.

 

What do I do? Well God rested on the seventh day, and God is smarter than anyone else I know so I am following him and currently blogging six days a week. In the past I have shot for 2 blog posts a week so I’ll let you know how my new blogging schedule works out.

 

Some of you are thinking no way, there is no way you could come up with something to blog about 6 days a week. Well so far it has been a lot easier than I imagined.

 

Topics come to you all the time, for example the other day a one line statement I  made in a post kept appearing in the comments other made about the post. I wrote a blog post on that one statement (it was obvious further explanation was required).

 

Time and time again I have written blogs posts as a result on single statements people have made to me in conversations during the course of the workday.

 

Think about it, what do you do all day?

You work for at least 8 hours every day right. During that time,  you constantly think about what it is that you’re doing. You absolutely do have something to talk about. It’s a matter of translating some of your thoughts into words because a blog is just that: your thoughts and opinions about something.

 

Anything related to your business field is a perfect topic, and can be related to almost anything:

 

  • What’s Hot! Interesting or new things going on in your industry.

  • Tips and tricks

  • Changes you would like to see

  • News and trends are also always relevant topics, so share your thoughts and expertise on what is happening in your industry. The list can go on and on.

  • Does your business blog tend to be neglected when things get busy? We recognize that small business owners rarely have much free time, but research has indicated that blogging on a regular basis is necessary in order to see real results.  It’s critical that you both post frequently and on schedule. There’s no doubt whatsoever that blogging will be crucial to SEO, social media, and content marketing activity in 2013. As a result of 2012 developments, business blogs are no longer optional, but are now essential.
