Want Success? Stop Asking the Wrong Questions!

Since questions are vital to your success to qualify a prospective prospect and to determine how you can fill what needs they have, it is also important you are not asking yourself the wrong questions.

Many of us have asked ourselves, How can I make so and so do such and such? You can’t. as I mentions in a previous post you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. That being the case it is better for you to put your energy where it would do the most good, to achieve the success you must concentrate on what is within your control.

Asking whose fault it is, may seem to help you gain awareness of a situation, but in reality may make things worse. That question wastes time and energy, when it would be far more productive to concentrate on finding a solution instead of on hunting down the culprit responsible.

How can I do this faster? For some jobs speed is the most important thing, like in emergency rescues, calf roping. In other jobs like, brain surgery, bomb making etc… you definitely want to slow down and take your time, so be careful with that question. Don’t confuse speed with efficiency. If you can do it quickly that is better, as long as you maintain quality, getting it done right is the main goal.

George Bernard Shaw said, ”People are always blaming circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get ahead in this world are the people whos get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.”

When working for yourself you may sometimes ask yourself. Do I really have to? The answer is no you don’t. You can go back to that dead end 9-5 job you hated.

If you find yourself asking yourself this question it is time to remind yourself of your “why”.

In order for you to be able to continuously motivate and encourage your employees, it is important that you have a regular source of encouragement and motivation as well.

Zig Ziglar said, “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.
